- Local country partners are identified and trained.
- Official election results documents are obtained from voting authorities.
- Blockchains are used to register picture files for inmutability and easy confirmation (Bitcoin, EOS, Horizen and Dogecoin have been used thus far, others welcome).
- Crowdsourcing OCR begins and users generate digital information for each document in as much or as little as they want to contribute.
- At least 3 identical submissions from 3 different users per document have to be received before validating information.
- Results are generated and compared with official results.
- Lessons learned are made public and best users are awarded prizes (gamification).
- Next election is identified and funding is searched for.
- Repeat.
#Fiscal_Digital performs election audits using blockchains to create inmutable versions of official election results documents and then leveraging crowdsourced OCR to compare with official results. Initially begun in Guatemala as a response to the june 2019 general election fiasco, now #Fiscal_Digital aims to spread worldwide starting with Latin America due to regional similarities in (1) voting table election results procedures and (2) paper ballot systems.
