- Level 1: Feasible – Suitable to assess readiness for research funding
- Level 2: Functional – Suitable to assess readiness for proof of concept deployment
- Level 3: Sustainable – Suitable to assess if a solution is ready for operational deployment
- Level 4: Scalable – Suitable to assess readiness for enterprise-level deployment
- Level 5: Adaptable – suitable to assess readiness for global-level public deployment
Each level of the model includes characteristics expected to be implemented in order to have confidence that the solution is capable of meeting its intended purpose. In addition to the generic expectations, domain-specific expectations are defined for specific use cases. For example, there are unique expectations for solutions used for:
- Identity Management Solutions
- Voting Solutions
Additional use cases will continue to be developed by the GBA Working Group. For more information about this project, please contact Meiyappan Masilamani. The first draft of the BMM is scheduled for release in May 2021 during Government Blockchain Week.
