Blockchain & Smart Cities
January 21 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm UTC-5Free
Smart cities aren’t just a concept or a dream of the future.
A smart city is a framework, composed of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), to establish sustainable ecosystems to address growing urbanization challenges. A big part of this ICT framework is an intelligent network of connected objects and machines that transmit data using wireless technology and the cloud.
Because of the Internet of Things (IoT), many of these frameworks are already active and expanding rapidly.
Many urban governments are leveraging cellular and Low Power Wide Area (LPWAN) wireless technologies to connect and improve infrastructure, efficiency, convenience, and quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
This event will describe how blockchain technology is being used to support smart city initiatives.
