GDPR and Decentralized data security

GDPR will have a significant impact on organisations on how private data are managed with potentially very large penalties for violations of up to 4% of global revenue or EUR 20 million.
The aim of the talk is to stimulate discussions on how to make decentralised systems such as blockchain compliant with GDPR.

Karsten Klein is the founder and CEO of KLEIN K.K. an advisory company that focuses on services in the areas of risk management, operations and FinTech.
Prior to this role, Karsten was working for financial institutions in London and Tokyo. He has over 15 years expertise in financial risk management, operations and systems, with extensive leadership experience. Prior to working in the financial service industry, he was working in technology research and development.
Karsten received his PhD in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cambridge.
He has been living in Tokyo since 2004.
