Real World Blockchain Based Voting Solutions

Find out about how organizations are using blockchain-based solutions to vote in all kinds of elections. Hear first hand from public officials, solution providers, and other GBA members about the benefits, opportunities, constraints, regulatory concerns, and strategies to overcome objectives.
GBA members will be sharing their direct experience and expertise. Speakers include:
- Amelia Powers Gardner – Utah County Clerk, Chief Elections Officer, Chief Budget Officer, and Internal Auditor. One of the first public-sector elections involving blockchain was conducted under Amelia’s leadership. She is the winner of the GBA 2020 Annual Achievement Award for Leadership. And, she is leading the selection committee for the 2021 Government Blockchain Achievement Awards for Leadership.
- Nimit Sawhney – CEO, Voatz. His company is a mobile election platform changing the way the world votes by making it possible to vote with a smartphone or tablet. Powered by military-grade technology secured by blockchain, biometric identification, and cryptography, Voatz ensures safe and secure elections while increasing accessibility and citizen engagement.
- Mitja Goroshevsky – Chief Technical Officer, IT entrepreneur and executive, Mitja participates in various research projects and has co-authored several patents in distributed computing. Mitja’s professional competence earned his projects multiple acknowledgments from the IT and business community. His company, TON Labs delivers products and solutions to make blockchain technology work for voting and a wide range of government uses and applications.
